Buttons is the sweetest mother to her puppies. She is kind and gentle to everyone she meets. She loves having puppies so much that she took on a set of puppies whose mother was not doing as well (she was a first timer). Buttons actually began lactating because she allowed the puppies to nurse on her dry udder. She loves her mom, Mercy. Mercy still treats her like a puppy and grooms her every day starting at her ears and working her way down to the tail. I have never seen such a bonded mother and daughter. They are completely attached at the hip. They are truly a devoted pair of dogs. Buttons is now retired.

Lexi is a granddaughter of Mercy. She comes from a great AKC stud dog. Lexi is an AKC Golden Retriever and has been genetically tested through Embark and has a clean bill of health. She still believes she is a lapdog and should be allowed to sit in my lap at all times. She loves eating apples off our fruit trees and pulling blackberries off the vine.
